The Benefits of Dancing

The HPDSU has designed and implements its Teacher & Student (T&S) Program to provide dance teachers and their students with the opportunity to apply advances they have made through lessons to a playful yet competitive setting. The program derives its name from pairing teachers with students for contests. and Showcases. A T&S contest allows such couples to match their skills against those of their peers, to have their performances evaluated by expert adjudicators, and to progress on the learning curve through high-spirited competitiveness. The PD has developed the T&S Program with the aim to increase the quality opportunities for everybody To get into DanceSport on an accelerated track To supplement dance lessons with the experience of their practical application To improve through dance education in a distinctive and stimulating setting

The T&S Program brings new opportunities to DanceSport. Diving into an art form is an immersive experience that can hardly be compared to anything else. HDSU has developed dance teaching qualifications in a wide range of dance genres and at three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Golden

Dance Styles The HPDSU T&S Programm contemplates contests in virtually every dance style and in different formats. Championships, single-entry events and others are held at local, national and international levels. The list below does not aspire to be complete. Several other styles and dances are included in national and local programs. International Style Latin Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive International Style Standard Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep. American Smooth Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz. Carribean Mix Salsa , Merengue , Bachata.
